Examples of recent engagements include:

• Designed and implemented the field security infrastructure for a regional development bank with offices in 26 countries and more than $129 billion in project loans. This included establishing policies at the Board of Directors level and implementing them in the field. Because of this success and after a competitive bid process, VDI has been awarded a five-year contract to continue providing outsourced management and direction to the program.
  


• Gained the release of an American business executive from a South American jail where an unscrupulous business partner had him imprisoned on trumped up charges. This required a combination of diplomatic, legal, political and security moves to be executed with skill in an environment conducive to things going awry.
  


• Developed and fully implemented in just nine months a business continuity program for a multi-billion dollar international conglomerate based overseas. This included: establishment of redundant facilities in another country, fail-safe communications networks, legal and technical reviews, evacuation plans, and security management operations.
  


• Facilitated a personal meeting between a U.S. CEO and the leader of a Middle Eastern country to neutralize the efforts of a corrupt foreign competitor.
  


• Performed security risk assessments and developed security enhancement programs for two gold mining operations in a high threat country experiencing considerable political instability.
